Mystery Boxes What to do with them?

Almost every client I have helped with decluttering and organizing has these in their home.

What are they?

They are mystery boxes that have been moved several times but never opened, or they have been stuck in the corner of a closet, basement or garage for decades. 

What is in them?

They might contain inherited items, old schoolbooks, papers and awards or items from past relationships. The contents have good or bad memories attached to them. 

The boxes are relegated to being opened “someday”. Fun thing is “someday” is not a day of the week. So, there they sit, collecting dusk, attracting bugs and a musty smell.

What can be done?

Be courageous, face the past to embrace a better future.

Having the help of a close friend, family member or Professional Organizer can ease the burden of emotions.
