Have you gone shopping for certain items and impulsively purchased other things?
When on vacation do you shop for souvenirs?
After purchasing some items do you ask yourself, why did I buy this?
Here are six questions to ask yourself before you buy:
1. Why am I here?
2. How do I feel?
3. Do I need this?
4. What if I wait?
5. How will I pay for it?
6. Where will I put it?
From April Lane Benson PhD
Often time’s people will purchase small items on the spur of the moment and then wonder why their bank account balance is low or they do not have enough money to go on vacation.
If you have regretted some purchases here are a few actions that could help you recover some of the money you spent: return the item or sell the item on your local internet marketplace. You could also give the item to a friend or donate it to a charity.
You can start anew with thoughtful spending habits.
So do you really need another sweater, tool or knickknack?
Sure, we all like to have a new item once in awhile.
Consider letting go of two items when you bring in a new item.
Asking these six questions will help you only have what you Love, Use and Need.
Go enjoy spending time with those you love doing what you love!
